Why don't people believe in chiropractors & alternative medicine?
It takes time for people's opinions to change. And people's opinion's are generally influenced by what they see and hear from other people as well as their own experiences. According to this first source (chirobase.org) about 4% of the population sees a chiropractor. That would mean that 96% does not. The American Medical Association for years has tried to destroy the chiropractic profession through misinformation (see http://www.chiro.org/Wilk/). This was mainly due to trying to eliminate the competition. The prescription drug industry is a multi billion dollar industry with lots of money to spend on advertising and propaganda to do so. It's much easier to give someone some drugs and mask their pain than it is to try to figure out what is actually causing a person's problem and actually fix it which is what chiropractic attempts to do. I say attempt because it's not always 100% successful if the person is too far gone. Chiropractic has only officially been around for 116 years although forms of manipulation go back to ancient Greece. My web site has scores of video testimonials of people who were helped by Chiropractic. Robert Ebeling DC http://www.youneedmeback.com
